The downstairs kitchen has a patio overlooking Lake Mekrijärvi, and from the downstairs veranda you can go directly to the nearby beach for a morning swim. The beach is also great for children. As an additional service, you can book a beach sauna. In the surrounding area you can visit the origin home of the poet Simana Sissonen ( 1786-1848 ) or hike Simana's path to the Mösönaho hut to enjoy a picnic.
